Bright, playful overlay patches designed for children who wear a Freestyle Libre sensor. Every patch in this collection is compatible with Freestyle Libre 1, Libre 2 and Libre 3, in designs kids actually want to wear — from sharks and unicorns to donuts, video game pixels and superheroes.

Living with Type 1 as a child is a lot of small routines that add up. Sensor changes every 14 days is one of them. A patch on top of the Libre turns the changeover into something to pick, not just something to do — and it helps keep the sensor on through PE, sleepovers, holidays and everything else the week throws at it.

What's in this collection

We've picked the designs our youngest Libre customers order most: Cookie Monster, Shark, Sea Turtle, Rainbow, Donut, Ice Cream, Spider, Ladybug, Pixels, Gamer and more. All designs work equally well for boys and girls, and each size is cut to fit the round Libre sensor exactly — no trimming needed.

Compatible with

Freestyle Libre 1, Freestyle Libre 2, Freestyle Libre 3. Each product page lets you pick your Libre generation at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Do these fit Libre 1, Libre 2 and Libre 3?
Yes. On each product page the "Choose your device" option lets you pick Libre 1 & 2 (they share the same size) or Libre 3, and we cut the patch to match. Same design, sized to the sensor you use.

How long does one Libre patch last?
Most families get the full 14-day Libre sensor session out of one patch when applied to clean, dry skin. Sweat, water and friction from clothing can shorten this a little.

Can my child shower and swim with the patch on?
The patches are designed to stay put through everyday water exposure — baths, showers, swimming lessons and splashing at the beach — without needing to be reapplied. Pat dry gently rather than rubbing.

How do I apply a Libre patch on a child?
Make sure the sensor area is clean and dry. Peel the backing, position the patch so the round cut-out aligns with the Libre sensor, and press firmly around the edges for 20–30 seconds. Full step-by-step is on our Patch Care page.

Are SmileSensors patches medical devices?
No. Our patches are decorative accessories designed to sit over the Freestyle Libre sensor housing. They do not replace, cover the reading area or interfere with the sensor's function. Always follow Abbott's instructions for the sensor itself.
