Well, that came around fast, and now here we are in spring. My favourite time of the year, when the weather finally picks up. The Easter Bunny and Easter chicks appear in egg hunts throughout the country. Yay! Easter is so much fun and always a winner with families.

Beyond Chocolate: Easter Egg Hunt Ideas for T1D Kids
My kids love the Easter egg hunt and filling their baskets with chocolate and goodies. Talking of goodies, I like to add some non-chocolate surprises to our Easter hunt too. For a child with Type 1 diabetes, a basket full of chocolate every Easter weekend can be a lot to manage, and a few non-sweet finds make the hunt more varied, more fun and easier on the carb counter.
Small toys, stickers, books, hair clips, little gadgets, character figures — anything that fits in an egg-sized hiding spot works. The hunt itself is the bit they love; the chocolate is just a bonus, not the whole event.
For more honest tips on managing the Easter weekend with a T1D child, our Easter with Type 1 diabetes post has practical ideas on treats, blood sugars and keeping the day enjoyable.
Our Limited Edition Easter Bunny and Easter Chick Patches
This year I have designed limited edition Easter Bunny and Easter Chick overlay patches. These cute patches add a little extra special fun for a T1D child and give parents one more thing to drop into the Easter hunt. Cute, secure, waterproof, and something only a T1D kid will truly appreciate finding inside an egg.
Our current Easter range includes the Sunny Bunny, the Twilight Bunny and the Meadow Bunny, all compatible with Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, Omnipod and Medtronic devices.
Why not add a few to your hunt this year, for an Easter surprise that only a T1D family will fully understand?

Happy Easter from Our T1D Family to Yours
However you celebrate Easter, we hope you and your family have a wonderful time, enjoy all the treats, and make brilliant memories. Sensors firmly in place, of course.
