Overlay patches with sea, beach and summer designs, made to sit on your Dexcom G6 or Dexcom G7 sensor through the bits of life where water shows up — showers, swimming lessons, baths, holidays on the coast. Every patch is cut to fit the exact Dexcom model you use.

Dexcom sensors are already water-resistant to their own manufacturer rating — our patches don't change that. What our overlays add is a soft, decorated edge that helps keep the sensor housing anchored to your skin when you're moving, wet and drying off. Applied properly to clean skin, one patch typically lasts a full 10-day Dexcom session.

Frequently asked questions

Are these patches waterproof for the Dexcom G7?
Our patches are designed to stay put through everyday water exposure — showers, swimming lessons, beach days — without needing to be reapplied. They are not IPX-rated. The Dexcom G7 itself is IP28-rated by Dexcom — the patch adds a decorative edge, it doesn't change that rating.

How long does a Dexcom patch last with regular swimming?
Applied to clean, dry skin and pressed for 20–30 seconds, most patches last the full 10-day Dexcom session even with regular showering and swimming. Rough drying, hot tubs and prolonged salt water can shorten this.

Can I go in the sea with a Dexcom patch on?
Yes. Rinse off with fresh water after and pat dry gently rather than rubbing. Salt and sand are more likely to lift the edges than the water itself.

Does the patch cover the Dexcom transmitter or the reading window?
No. Our patches are cut to sit around the housing of the sensor without covering the reading area, so the sensor keeps sending readings normally to your phone or receiver.

Are SmileSensors patches medical devices?
No. Our patches are decorative accessories designed to sit over the Dexcom sensor housing. They do not replace or interfere with the sensor's function. Always follow Dexcom's instructions for the sensor itself.
