Why wear a Medtronic Guardian patch?

Guardian sensors stay in place for up to 7 days but the stock adhesive can lift at the edges during sport, peel in hot showers or come off in saltwater. An overlay patch sits on top of the sensor, reinforcing the adhesive and keeping the sensor firmly against your skin. They also let you express yourself with a design that feels like yours, not medical.

No. Our patches have a precise cut-out around the sensor and never cover the reading area. They sit on the edges of the adhesive only.

How do I apply a Medtronic Guardian patch?

Clean and dry the skin around your Guardian sensor. Peel the patch backing, centre it over the sensor and press firmly for 30 seconds. Avoid stretching the patch as you apply.
