The Night Before Christmas (a T1D Version)
It was the night before Christmas, there wasn't a sound,
Well, except of course for the diabetes alarm, that was very loud.
Quietly creep into their room, making sure the fast-acting glucose goes down,
Relax, breathe, they'll be ok now.Santa: "What are you doing awake?"
Mum or Dad: "It's Type 1 diabetes. It never gives you a break.
Not even on Christmas Eve, but don't worry, we still believe…
In the magic of Christmas and spreading the cheer."Back to bed now, to make it another wonderful year.
Type 1 won't stop us from having fun,
Making beautiful memories as we spend time with everyone.
